“The award of the SWA-TS3 contract anticipates our continued excellence in mission support service, IT, cybersecurity, and information assurance for the Department of Defense and their intelligence and signals mission. Though our continued focus on innovation, modernization, and automation, BME has won the validation of customers and industry observers as a leader, and we remain fully devoted to serving our nation and the Army in this critical mission.”
Through the SWA-TS3 contract, USARCENT has entrusted all phases of equipment life cycle to BME – from evaluating software and hardware plans, designs, code, testing delivered software, and quality assurance practices regarding maintenance – to transition and ongoing modernization efforts. In today’s continuously evolving and sophisticated cyber threat and attack environment, multiple factors indicated to USARCENT that BME is exceptionally qualified to deliver the agile and holistic approach sought through the SWA-TS3 contract. Among them was BME’s appraisal at the highest level of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) – Level 5 (designated as “Optimizing”) for both Development and Service, and their multiple Quality Management System certifications under ISO and AS standards, supplemented by its other industry-respected appraisals and certifications and advanced best practices such as ITIL v4.
Team BME also impressed, with its innovation and automation expertise, that will protect and develop both Enterprise Information Systems and Tactical and Strategic Communications Networks. Team BME’s culture of innovation and continual improvement is expected to lead to the engineering of modernized, reliable, and scalable information system solutions. For example, in response to the pandemic’s affects, unprecedented in the information age, BME engineered and expanded Army’s ability to deploy work-from-anywhere capabilities, including Secret Internet Protocol Router Network access for cleared personnel working from home through its expertise as a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) NSA Trusted Integrator.
“The award of SWA-TS3 further demonstrates BME’s ability to provide Government customers with trusted and reliable innovation, sustainment and modernization in complex and threat-laden environments. We’re honored for this opportunity to serve and support the 335th Signal Command’s and ARCENT’s mission in Southwest Asia.”
Also helping to clinch the partnership was BME’s leadership in cyber resilience, configuration management, change management, capacity management, staffing and retention, maintenance and logistics management, project management, and engineering management. BME automated engineering management so that recovery that requires rebuilding after mishaps – such as those resulting from outages due to enemy action, sandstorms, or transportation losses – is slashed from weeks to hours. BME’s virtualization – the first-ever to deliver for the Army Data Center Consolidation Plan – cut the number of servers required by 70% and increased storage capacity 1000%.
